Rumors about Mario Maurer’s new girlfriend have been making rounds in
social networking sites recently. Speculations about the Thai superstar
dating Filipina comedienne Cacai Bautista have also made headlines.
The issue surfaced after Mario broke up with his longtime girlfriend, actress Gubgib Sumontip. He and Cacai became close during the filming of “Suddenly It’s Magic” last year.
Photos of Mario and Cacai, taken during the latter’s recent trip to Bangkok, went viral online after the talented comedienne posted them on Twitter and Instagram.
Although unconfirmed, television personalities including “The Buzz” host Boy Abunda said they’re happy for the comedienne-actress.
During the talk show’s March 3, 2013 episode, Abunda said he received a message from a reliable source with details about Mario and Cacai’s dinner date in Thailand.
The source, according to Abunda, revealed that Mario arrived by motorcyle at the restaurant where Cacai, some friends and his manager were waiting. He was sweating. The actor allegedly escaped from his shooting just to spend time with Cacai.
Abunda’s source also said Mario was sort of “disappointed,” thinking that he and Cacai will be alone together for dinner.
Here’s a transcript of what the “King of Talk” said Sunday:
“May kuwento kaming natanggap ngayon lamang na tama yung kuwento na in the beginning, Cacai and friends were having dinner but Mario Maurer was very busy...he’s a big star in Thailand, in Bangkok...kaya hindi siya makapunta...initially, he could not go to the dinner.
May dalawang bersiyon po ang dumating sa amin ngayon.
