Malacañang: December 24, 2012 is a Special Non-working Holiday

President Noynoy Aquino issued a Presidential Proclamation declaring December 24, 2012 as Special Non-working Holiday throughout the country.

December 24, 2012 falls on Monday, which will be “sandwiched” by a Sunday (December 23) and Christmas Day (December 25, a regular Holiday).
Proclamation No. 361 dated March 29, 2012 states that the declaration “will give the people full opportunity to celebrate Christmas with their families and loved ones.” The Department of Labor is also directed to issue appropriate circular to implement the proclamation for private sector.
This is good news to most workers and employees, public and private sector, who will enjoy a 4-day vacation during that time of the year.
Here’s the full Proclamation of December 24, 2012 as Special Non-working Holiday, issued by the Office of the President.
