MANILA, Philippines - Three members of the Los Angeles Galaxy will not be participating in the team's Asia Pacific Tour 2011 due to injury, the club said in a statement.
The MLS Cup 2011 champions will be playing in Jakarta, Manila and Melbourne, but will be without Sean Alvarado, Chad Barrett and Leonardo (José Leonardo Ribeiro da Silva).
All three players are injured, with defenders Alvarado and Leonardo both having undergone right knee injuries. Meanwhile, forward Barrett is still out due to a dislocated foot.
Twenty-seven players will participate in the tour, led by David Beckham, Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane. Head coach Bruce Arena will also be traveling with the team.
The Galaxy have already left for Indonesia. They will play the Indonesia National Team at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on November 30.
They will then face the Philippine Azkals at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on December 3.
The Galaxy will conclude their tour in Australia, where they will play against Melbourne Victory at the Etihad Stadium on December 6.
