Daniel Padilla buys himself an early birthday present—a P3-million Dodge Challenger; gears up for birthday concert at the Big Dome

Sa April 26 ay ipagdiriwang na ng teen heartthrob ng ABS-CBN na si Daniel Padilla ang kanyang 18th birthday.

Pero kahit mahigit isang buwan pa bago ang kanyang kaarawan, niregaluhan na niya ang kanyang sarili ng isang sports utility vehicle (SUV)—isang itim na Dodge Challenger na nagkakahalaga ng tatlong milyong piso.

Sa panayam ni Daniel para sa Bandila kagabi, March 6, sinabi nitong masaya siyang may nabili na siya mula sa kanyang pinagpaguran.

Saad niya, “Masarap yung feeling… siyempre na pinagpaguran mo, pinagpuyatan mo, pinagpawisan mo.

“Naospital ako dahil dito, alam mo yun?

“Parang gift ko naman sa sarili ko, sa hardwork ko na pagtatrabaho.”

HELLO, BIG DOME. Isa ring magandang balita para sa mga tagahanga ni Daniel ang nalalapit niyang post-birthday concert sa April 30 na gaganapin sa Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Kahit kinakabahan, ipinangako ni Daniel na gagawin niya ang lahat para mapasaya ang mga fans sa naturang big event sa buhay niya.

Aniya,“Kinakabahan, kasi hindi naman talaga ako singer, e. Tapos magko-concert pa.

“Hindi, pero ano… gagawin ko lahat para maging successful ‘tong show… “tong concert na to.”

“Old school rock” daw ang napiling tema ni Daniel sa kanyang nalalapit na konsiyerto, kung saan imbitado ang kanyang mga kaibigan at co-stars sa Princess And I na sina Khalil Ramos at Enrique Gil.

Gusto rin daw ni Daniel na may special participation ang ka-MU (mutual understanding) niyang si Kathryn Bernardo.

Kinikilig pang pahayag ni Daniel, “Gusto niya sana maging guest lang, gusto niya kasi ma-feel yung… alam mo yung manonood lang.

“Pero siyempre, sabi ko, ‘Ikaw si Kathryn, e, kailangan mo akong parating kasama."

Kathryn, Daniel get love advice from their moms

MANILA, Philippines -Kathryn Bernardo andDaniel Padilla, considered one of the country's hottest on-screen couples today, got some love advice from their respective mothers on Thursday's episode of "Kris TV."

Karla Estrada told her son Padilla that he and Bernardo should "be ready" for anything as there will come a time when they will have to go their separate ways as actors.

She said that if they want to take their "mutual understanding" to the next level, Bernardo and Padilla should make the effort to make their relationship work.

"Sinasabi ko palagi, life is not a fairy tale. Pero kung gusto niyong mangyari 'yon ay maraming effort. Lagi kong sinasabi sa kanila 'yan, so paghandaan niyo, since bata pa kayo," Estrada said.

"Mas gusto naman namin actually, Kathryn, DJ, anak, na kung kayo talaga [magkatuluyan], bakit hindi? Kaya lang, may mga bagay na hindi natin mahahawakan. So kung dumating 'yung araw na kailangan niyo nang maghiwalay [sa love team], kailangan handa 'yung puso niyo para hindi kayo mapariwara o mapunta sa hindi tamang landas. So just be ready always," she added.

For Bernardo's mother, Min, she only asked her youngest daughter to take it slow when it comes to love.

Bernardo will turn 18 next year.

"Lagi kong sinasabi sa kanya, dapat kung hindi niya mapipigilan 'yung love team nila, kung saan mapupunta 'yan, sana at the right time, sa right age niya. Sana ngayon matuto siyang sumunod. Kasi nasa kanila 'yon, sila din ang gagawa. Kahit ano sabihin nila, kung hindi sila, susunod wala din. So kailangang i-hold nila kung anuman ang feelings nila na 'yan," Min said.

Bernardo and Padilla are now busy promoting their film "Must Be... Love," which will hit theaters next week, March 13.

A Fan kisses Daniel Padilla on lips On Asap

Kapamilya teen heartthrob Daniel Padilla got a kiss from a die-hard fan while performing a song number on ASAP 18 over the weekend. Surprised viewers saw what appeared to be a ‘lips to lips’ from the angle of the live cam.

The hashtag #RespectDanielPadilla immediately became a trending topic on Twitter nationwide after some of the young actor’s followers allegedly hit the girl with harsh words on social networking sites.

According to a report on “Umagang Kay Ganda” aired Monday morning, Daniel clarified that the fan’s kiss landed on his nose rather than his lips.

“Hindi po tumama sa [lips]...sa TV mukhang tumama pero hindi...pero medyo nasipsip niya yung ilong ko sa halik niya pero hindi po sa lips,” he said.

But critics believe it was right on target and said the teen idol’s handlers naturally have to come up with a news release that the “fan failed to kiss Daniel on the lips” to protect his image.
